Here at Zeigler Ford of Elkhart, we were excited to hear of Ford's 40-millionth F-Series truck rolling off the assembly line. Ford fans around Goshen, IN, will be familiar with the legendary new F-150, F-250 and F-350 trucks from the automaker's current lineup. However, not everyone knows that the F-Series of trucks has been around for over 75 years now. The first F-Series trucks, the F-1, F-2, F-3, and F-4, all made their debut in 1948.

The Best-Selling Truck

The best-selling truck in North America has belonged to Ford's F-Series for over 45 years. Not only that, but the F-150 has been the best-selling vehicle of any type in the U.S. for 40 years. Those accomplishments are nothing short of amazing. This is a testament to Ford's quality and reliability. The 40-millionth truck produced by Ford for U.S consumers came from the automaker's plant in Dearborn, Michigan, in January of 2022.

2022 F-250 Tremor

The truck that reached this milestone was a 2022 F-150 Tremor. This particular pickup truck was sent to a buyer in Texas. The 40-millionth truck was painted in Ford's Iconic Silver paint scheme. Many automobile manufacturers would place such a historic vehicle in a museum or in one of their factories or showrooms for display and preservation. Instead, Ford's record-setting truck will go to a regular, hard-working customer because that's what Ford trucks are really all about.
