Recently, at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, Ford Motor Company revealed that next-generation versions of both the Ranger pickup and the Bronco SUV will soon be available in the United States.
Ford will build both vehicles at the company’s Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan. Ranger will be introduced in North America for 2019, and the Bronco will see a global roll-out in 2020. It is believed that both vehicles will be built on a shared midsize body-on-frame platform.
Joe Hinrichs, Ford’s president of The Americas, noted, “We’ve heard our customers loud and clear. They want a new generation of vehicles that are incredibly capable yet fun to drive. Ranger is for truck buyers who want an affordable, functional, rugged and maneuverable pickup that’s Built Ford Tough. Bronco will be a no-compromise midsize 4x4 utility for thrill seekers who want to venture way beyond the city.”
